Here's a great way to package and market your
SHOP YOUR HOMETOWN MERCHANTS (SHM) Holiday Campaign.
Offer advertising
packages for merchants to market their individual businesses.
(We suggest having 3 choices - Small, Medium, and Large - for example, 50x,
100x, and 150x to use in December and January.)
a) With the
purchase of any of these special packages, merchants also receive
sponsorship tie-ins (name mentions) to your
collective SHM campaign. (For instance, 25x, 50x, and 75x, depending on
the size of ad package they purchase above. Price these combined packages
accordingly and spread the payments in thirds - 1/3 down, 1/3 billed in
December, 1/3 billed in January.)
b) Sponsor
tie-in consists of :10-second tag running
post-adjacent to SHM features, piggy-backed 3 sponsors to each :30-second
adjacency. Produce as many adjacencies as needed to accommodate all
participating businesses - the more, the better!
c) SHM features run
throughout the holiday shopping season with participating merchant tags, in
addition to the merchants' own ads - a powerful combination to build business
for your local advertisers and promote shopping locally...spearheaded by your
station!
d) Use the
SHM clip art collection we provide to create print
advertising, point-of-sale, buttons, and other graphic reminders to reinforce
your campaign. (If you'd like us to email you one of
these graphics for a station presentation piece prior to purchasing the
series, let us know and we'll be happy to do so.)

"... to thank GBS for the
excellent revenue opportunities you provide. We are a dual FM station
group...always on the lookout for NTR possibilities to increase sales
revenue. We started our relationship some 3 years ago with the Holiday Shop
Local package. Sales of Holiday shop local that first year surpassed our
every expectation ... $6,000 total NTR for the 4th quarter. This led to our
purchase of the Shop Local Annual package that we continue to sell out
(annual contracts totaling over $9,000). Last year's Holiday Shop Local sold
out at $7,000 total for the 4th quarter ... and this year's package is
currently at $4,000 with half of the sponsorships left to sell during the
